Frontiers of Forensic Science (FFS) is a unique lecture series in the Netherlands. This lecture series is an initiative of the Co van Ledden Hulsebosch Center (CLHC) and the Master's programme in Forensic science at the Faculty of Science from the University of Amsterdam.

The lecture series has the ambition for providing a platform for scientific exchange and discussion about relevant forensic topics. The series is part of the Forensic Science Master’s program but is open to all with an academic forensic interest. In this way new talent can meet and interact with experienced forensic and academic experts and new ideas and initiatives can be developed. The invited speakers are all established experts on the presented topics and have been asked to prepare a presentation at a keynote academic conference level.

  • 16:25-17:00 - Annemieke van Dam (AUMC, location AMC) : The glow and the flow: determining the 'what' and 'when' of biological evidence
