Workshop for teachers, education developers, tutors and trainers
We increasingly realise that, as a result of technological developments and globalisation, problems are becoming so complex that they can only be solved through collaboration between scientists from different disciplines. As a result, an interdisciplinary approach is becoming increasingly necessary and popular in higher education. Students need to learn more about how to integrate and apply knowledge, methods and skills from different disciplines.
This workshop addresses the crucial step of integration within interdisciplinary research using the textbook 'An Introduction to Interdisciplinary Research', which contains a comprehensive 'interdisciplinary integration toolbox'. During the workshop, participants will be introduced to the IIS interdisciplinary model and toolbox, and explore what tools are available to facilitate the research process and collaboration during inter- and transdisciplinary projects among students.

Education is always evolving and, therefore, people working in education do so as well. With Educators invites ‘educators’ - lecturers, educational developers, tutors and trainers - to share and discuss their ideas. We aim to find common ground on interesting subjects and teaching methods, enabling you to both gain and contribute new insights.
