Over 20 years of experience in interdisciplinary education
The IIS has over 20 years of experience in developing and executing interdisciplinary education and is the expertise centre for knowledge sharing and advice. We assist educational developers and curriculum leaders in the field of organisational development, vision development, educational development and curriculum development. We always do this in close collaboration with the faculties of the UvA.

IIS Grants for Lectures
Through a range of teaching grants, the IIS encourages lecturers to look beyond established practices and provides support and time to develop new forms of teaching and assessment.

Create a Course Challenge
This annual IIS challenge invites students to think along with us about education at the UvA. The winning course will be offered as an IIS elective the following academic year. -
