Over 20 years of experience in interdisciplinary education
The IIS has over 20 years of experience in developing and executing interdisciplinary education and is the expertise centre for knowledge sharing and advice. We assist educational developers and curriculum leaders in the field of organisational development, vision development, educational development and curriculum development. We always do this in close collaboration with the faculties of the UvA.

IIS grants for lecturers
By awarding several grants a year, the IIS encourages teachers to go beyond the existing standards and offers support and time for the development of new teaching and assessment methods.

Create a Course Challenge
This annual IIS challenge invites students to think along with us about education at the UvA. The winning course will be offered as an IIS elective the following academic year. -
