HOT stands for Hoger Onderwijs in Transitie – higher education in transition. HOT provides a place to imagine a higher education with more room for innovation, for encouraging inter- and transdisciplinarity, for open science and team science in education, for autonomy and ownership of students, teachers and programmes, for a healthy learning environment in support of student and teacher wellbeing and for education that is intimately linked with the ‘wicked challenges’ that our societies are facing.
