Are you, as a teacher, involved in interdisciplinary education? Do you teach a course, mentor students, or create new interdisciplinary teaching materials? If so, this multi-day teacher training is for you. Machiel Keestra, Linda de Greef, and Jasper ter Schegget will guide you through four workshop days where we will delve into various aspects of interdisciplinary teaching. Reflecting on your own teaching will be the focus of this training. The deadline for applications is the 8th of January. The training will be given in English.

The teacher training "Interdisciplinary Education" is offered by the Institute for Interdisciplinary Studies. The course is intended for UvA (University of Amsterdam) teachers with a University Teaching Qualification (UTQ or BKO in Dutch) . Participating teachers play an active role in (the development of) interdisciplinary education.

 

 

 

The training consists of four sessions. It is important that you are available at all of them:

  1. What is Interdisciplinarity? - Friday, 9th February 2024, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM
  2. Your Role as a Teacher - Friday, 1st March 2024, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM
  3. Learning Activities and Assessment - Friday, 15th March 2024, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM
  4. Working with Integration Techniques - Friday, 5th April 2024, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM

There is a minimum of eight and a maximum of sixteen participants. All interested individuals will be asked to participate in an intake interview. The organization will contact you to schedule this interview. The final registration date is the 8th of January 2024.
