Actions speak louder than words! For the students of the Circular Economy course at the UvA, this means that they did not use plastic for a week, among other things.

After a week of collecting their own plastics, students decided to have a plastic free week themselves. They tried to drastically reduce the use of plastics, with the intend to not use plastic at all. It worked out pretty well except for a couple of products that were hard to avoid.

•    Food packages (especially meat)
•    ‘Single use plastic’ (e.g.bottles)
•    Composed plastic (e.g.milk cartons)

In every category a different approach is needed to solve the problem. Read more about this course below which is part of the minor Sustainability and Economics at the Faculty of Economics and Business of the UvA.
