Are you a researcher at the UvA with a passion for ITD education and research? As an IP Fellow, you get the opportunity to work at IIS for a year, 6 to 8 hours a week, to adapt and develop education rooted in IP research together with the other IP Fellows and IIS education developers. We aim to use these fellowships to strengthen the connection between thematic, interfaculty research and innovation in education.
As an IP Fellow, you will work on designing, implementing and scaling up an education programme within one of the IP themes. In consultation with education/training directors and the theme steering committee chair, you will look for and work out concrete opportunities for inter- and transdisciplinary educational innovations by adapting existing education and developing new education.
You will be supported by a team of educational developers at IIS and you will be part of the IIS education lab where an enthusiastic and expert team works on ITD educational innovations. Besides the weekly contact moments, we organise monthly meetings which focus on knowledge exchange and collaboration.
The UvA's strategic agenda emphasises the importance of inter- and transdisciplinary research and education as essential for the future. This project offers a unique opportunity for a researcher to translate their research into education and also use this as a space for experimentation. In this way, we want to make a lasting impact on the way students are trained to become critical, broad-oriented thinkers and problem-solvers. You will also contribute to the structural anchoring of inter- and transdisciplinary education within the UvA.
We cordially invite assistant professors, associate professors, and full professors to apply to become an IP Fellow. It is important that you are connected to one of the interfaculty research themes of the UvA, have an affinity with inter- and transdisciplinary education, and have a broad academic network.
Besides the chance to contribute directly to educational innovation, you will work with colleagues from different disciplines and become part of an inter- and transdisciplinary integral ecosystem within the UvA where education, research and society reinforce each other.
