Over a period of twelve months, the IP fellows will be given eight hours a week to work with educational developers from the IIS and with one another to develop scalable teaching methods that are directly aligned with current research within the IP themes. This may range from redesigning existing courses to setting up entirely new project-based courses or contributing to future minors.
With their diverse academic backgrounds and broad interfaculty integration, the fellows contribute to education that connects researchers and students around major societal challenges.
One of the IP Fellows is Prof. mr. dr. Iris van Domselaar, Professor of Legal Philosophy and Legal Ethics at the Faculty of Law of the University of Amsterdam. Her research focuses on the theme of a resilient, just society. We’d like to introduce her to you!
The IP Fellowship Programme was developed by the IIS, which acts as a centre of expertise for inter- and transdisciplinary education within the University of Amsterdam. The central question is how major societal challenges – the so-called IP themes – can be translated into innovative and inspiring forms of education. By bringing together fellows from different faculties, the IIS encourages cross-fertilisation between research, education and societal practice.
