As a university, we must contribute to a resilient democratic society, said Executive Board president Geert ten Dam at the opening of the Academic Year 2022-2023. Our institute was referred to by Mark Deuze, Professor of Media Studies, as one of the positive examples where people are working every day "beyond the boundaries of their own discipline for societal change". Thank you to everyone who is helping us do this, because we can only do so through the efforts of many lecturers, researchers, students and staff.
