New IIS electives
10 elective courses in the second semester

The Institute for Interdisciplinary Studies' elective courses for the second semester of 2022-2023 have been announced! There are 10 courses on the curriculum that reflect current societal issues and challenges, such as 'Cultures of Conspiracy' on conspiracy thinking, 'Klassen!' on equality of opportunities in Dutch education, 'Digital Warfare' on (future) threats in our cyberspace and 'Building Bridges for Local-Global Challenges', which involves collaboration with students from European partner universities.
Education at IIS
The Institute for Interdisciplinary Studies (IIS) offers a wide range of interdisciplinary courses every semester. The IIS electives are open to multiple audiences: students and staff from all UvA faculties, students from other Dutch educational institutions and other interested parties who can participate as 'contract students'.
