Register in Studielink

Your application for a programme at the University of Amsterdam starts in Studielink; the national online registration system for students who would like to pursue a degree programme at a Dutch university. You must first register in Studielink before you can submit your application for the programme of your choice.

Please note that after registration in Studielink, we expect your completed application (SIS My Applications) within 14 days.

Step-by-step procedure
  • 1. Before you start the registration: Check your DigiD

    Your DigiD (Digital Identification) is your online ID (username and password) that provides access to Dutch government administration websites.

    • Are you are a student who currently lives in the Netherlands? You will need your DigiD to register in Studielink. We strongly recommend applying for your DigiD at least 3 weeks before you register in Studielink.
    • Are you a student who does not live in the Netherlands? You can register in Studielink without a DigiD.
  • 2. Register in Studielink

    Go to the Studielink website to start your registration. Find step by step plans and FAQ about Studielink on their website.

    Registration Bachelor's Actuarial Science

    If you want to register for the Bachelor's Actuarial Science, select WO Bachelor Actuarial Science. Make sure to also select the language track you prefer by choosing the Dutch or UK flag. After the application deadline, you cannot switch between the tracks anymore.

    Registration Bachelor's Business Analytics

    If you want to register for the Bachelor's Business Analytics, select WO Bachelor Business Analytics.

    Registration Bachelor's Econometrics and Data Science

    If you want to register for the Bachelor's Econometrics and Data Science, select WO Bachelor Econometrics. Make sure to also select the language track you prefer by choosing the Dutch or UK flag. After the application deadline, you cannot switch between the tracks anymore.

    Registration Bachelor's Economics and Business Economics

    If you want to register for the Bachelor's Economics and Business Economics, select WO Bachelor Economics and Business Economics. Make sure to also select the language track you prefer by choosing the Dutch or UK flag. After the application deadline, you cannot switch between the tracks anymore.

  • 3. After Studielink

    When you finish the registration in Studielink, you will receive a confirmation email from the Studielink system. You will also receive an email from the University of Amsterdam with your UvAnetID (student number). After receiving your UvAnetID, you can start the online application for the programme of your choice, through SIS My Applications. SIS is our application system where you have to apply to the programme by describing your educational background and uploading the required documents. Only after you have submitted this application in SIS can the Admissions Office assess your eligibility for the programme.

    Submit your application within 14 days 

    We expect your completed application within 14 days after registration in Studielink. If you have not submitted your application within these 14 days, you will receive a reminder to complete your application. If you also don't meet the second deadline, your application in SIS 'My Applications' and your registration in Studielink will be cancelled. If you are still interested in the programme, please start over by re-registering in Studielink and submitting a new application.
