Submit your online application

After you register in Studielink, the next step is to complete your application in SIS under ‘My Applications’. SIS is the online system that the Admissions Office uses to review your previous education and check if you meet the entry requirements.

Please note: after registering in Studielink, we expect your completed application in SIS under ‘My Applications’ within 14 days. To meet this deadline, make sure to have gathered all necessary documents before starting your registration in Studielink.

Are you eligible?

The Admissions Office can only assess your eligibility once your application is complete. Your eligibility depends on the programme's entry requirements. After reviewing your complete application, the Admissions Office will notify you of their decision by email.

How to submit a complete application in SIS in 3 steps:

1. Log in to SIS with your UvAnetID (student number)

After registering in Studielink you will receive your UvAnetID (student number). This may take up to 48 hours. With this UvAnetID you can login to SIS. In SIS, you have to select 'My Applications' to fill out and submit the application form before the application deadline.

2. Upload all required documents to complete the form

Only after receiving a complete application, the Admissions Office can evaluate your application and determine your eligibility for the programme. You need to upload the following documents in ‘My Applications’ to complete your application form before the application deadline:

1. Original Diploma	Upload your diploma. If you have not obtained your diploma yet, you can also upload a statement provided by a representative of your school. Please note that your graduation date cannot be later than 31 August 2027.
2. Original Transcript	Upload your transcript. If you have not received your final transcript yet, please submit all grades obtained up until the moment of application. You can also upload a statement provided by a representative of your school.
3. Official translation of your diploma  and/or transcript	If your diploma and/or transcripts are not in English, Dutch, German (Abitur) or French (French Baccalauréat Diploma), we need an official translation (English or Dutch) as well as the original document.
4. English proficiency test	Upload a proficiency test in order to be complete. You can find our accepted English proficiency tests on the programme page under the entry requirements. It is also possible to upload a booked test date, as long as the test takes place before the application deadline. Make sure to upload the test results within 2 weeks after the test date, as your application will be closed without results. Only after receiving your scores, the Admissions Office will start evaluating your application.
5. Curriculum Vitae (CV)	For a format example, refer to Europass CV
6. Dutch proficiency test	*Only* if you would like to start the Dutch track and you have an international prior education, you are required to take a Dutch language proficiency test. Upload a proficiency test result.
7. Extra documents	Check the entry requirements page of your preferred programme to see whether additional documents are required. There you will find which extra documents you are expected to upload in your application. You can also find information in the Diploma finder.

We expect your completed application within 14 days after registration in Studielink. If you have not submitted your application within these 14 days, you will receive a reminder to complete your application. If you also don't meet the 2nd deadline, your application in SIS 'My Applications' and your registration in Studielink will be cancelled. If you are still interested in the programme after cancellation, please start over by re-registering in Studielink and submitting a new application.

3. Pay the application fee and submit your complete application

All students applying for a Bachelor’s programme with an international diploma are required to pay a non-refundable application fee of €100..

The UvA can only start to process your application after the fee has been paid (please note that it can take up to 24 hours before you can continue after payment).

You don't have to pay the application fee:

If you have already applied for (and paid the application fee for) another Bachelor’s programme at the UvA for the academic year 2026-2027;
If you are an exchange student;
If your tuition fees for the academic year 2027-2028 will be paid by the Foundation for Refugee Students (UAF). If so, your application fee will be refunded.

Paying the application fee

You can pay the application fee of €100 by credit card (Mastercard, Visa card), Google Pay, Apple Pay, Bancontact or iDEAL. You will be asked to pay the fee after completing your application form. Submitting your form without paying the application fee is not possible.
