After your studies you will have a wide range of opportunities for your future career. You can work as a researcher, analyst or policy advisor with a unique collection of knowledge and skills. You will be able to bridge the gap between data analysts and policy, using your technical expertise to connect with specialist IT professionals and using your social knowledge to collaborate with other professionals such as policymakers and implementers.
At Statistics Netherlands (CBS) there is an increased awareness that many societal trends emerging from official statistics have many interrelations and must be understood in that complexity context by policy makers. It is crucial that a next generation of public servants has the broad spectrum of skills to navigate a complex world, for which this MSc programme is the best possible preparation. Prof. dr. Frank Pijpers, Senior methodologist at CBS & Professor by special appointment at UvA
